TEFL/EFL Teaching Jobs
At the heart of the Language Link teaching operation is the EFL Teacher. However, unlike the majority of language schools which are prepared to grant employment to almost any native English speaker who walks through the door, Language Link takes the selection of its teachers most seriously. Prospective teachers are evaluated along a number of different criteria. Experience has shown that though a TEFL qualification alone is not enough to guarantee one success in the classroom, such qualifications along with the right personality type makes for a formidable combination. It is this ‘formidable combination’ which forms the core of Language Link’s teaching staff.

Paid Teaching Internships
Each year, Language Link offers teaching employment to a number of applicants who do not have a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate or relevant TEFL teaching experience. By joining Language Link as Teacher Interns, these applicants receive 4 weeks of intensive TEFL training in Moscow prior to the start of their contract. They are then allocated their own groups and begin teaching independently, but training continues throughout the course of their paid 9-month Teacher Internship Certification Programme in the form of seminars, written assignments, observations and feedback from supervisors, as well as regular academic support with Language Link’s Teacher Trainers. There are approximately 20-30 vacancies for the Teacher Internship Certification Programme every year. Normally, our teachers Interns are recent university graduates looking for both an international experience and the opportunity to develop skills as a teacher of English to speakers of other languages.

Volunteer Programme
Language Link’s Volunteer Programme is the ideal way to acquire valuable international work-experience and get a taste of life in Russia. Our International Language Centres in Moscow, St Petersburg, Volgograd and Samara have a limited number of vacancies each semester for volunteers in the fields of Education, Project Management, Administration, Translation and IT.

The programme is extremely flexible – entry is possible all year round, and you can determine how many hours per week you wish to commit for, and how long you want to stay (breaks for independent travel are easily arranged). Depending on your interests, talents and experience, you may volunteer as a teaching assistant, student activities organiser, translator, educational consultant, administrator, webmaster, html programmer or project manager (you may also combine two or three of these roles). The wide variety of programme options means that whatever your motivation and interests, there is sure to be something that suits your requirements.

The Volunteer Programme includes home-stay accommodation, plus visa support and registration, so the usually daunting task of travel to this fascinating but oftentimes bureaucratic country is greatly simplified. We will advise and support you as you adapt to the unique Russian culture, and in addition to initial orientation, you will have the chance to attend free Russian language lessons during your stay.
