A great way to immerse yourself in the unique culture of Romania is to help under-privileged teenagers. Projects Abroad offer a range of teaching courses based in the red-roofed city of Brasov. Actually part of Transylvania, the medieval city is in keeping with romantic dreams, and is surrounded by the Carpathian Mountains!

Here, wolves and bears still live in abundance – their last refuge in Europe! Your job will be to help local teachers by building 12-18 year-olds’ confidence in speaking English, but there are further opportunities to take your own class. Accommodation is provided by a local family
